UNITAS, Pre-Marriage Preparation

St. Christopher's comprehensive marriage formation program is designed to help couples prepare for the Sacrament of Marriage. It is just not a nine month program. It's a sacramental formation process designed to help couples understand that they are part of their local Church community. Sponsor Couple Ministry

A Sponsor Couple is a couple-to-couple ministry in which married couples mentor engaged couples to help them prepare for Christian marriage In five outlined sessions, the sponsor couple helps prepare the engaged couple for the important step they will be taking. Through individual reflection, written assignments and group dialogue, the engaged couple learns of married life from a couple already living a Christian marriage. Natural Family Planning

NFP offers the couple the opportunity to understand the nature of fertility and work with it, either to plan a pregnancy or avoid a pregnancy. Husbands are encouraged to "tune into" their wives' cycle and both spouses are encouraged to speak openly and frankly about their sexual desires, and their ideas on family size. Sacrament of Confirmation

This two year program is designed to help the young church prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation, to foster in the young church the desire and commitment to live a Christian life style, and to assist the young church in transferring what they learn into their lives and the decisions they make.

Journey

St. Christopher's Sr. High Catechetical Program. This program is designed to give high school teens the opportunity to explore and experience the Nicene and Apostles' Creed (the foundation of the Catholic Faith). Teens will also gain a better understanding of the faith through discussion, learning about saints, prayer services, and community service projects.
